“She’s like having a fairy godmother who specializes in babies and all of the unique adventures (and challenges) that comes with them! “

It’s not possible to put into words the value of Kaleigh’s doula services and guidance, but I’ll certainly try!  Our journey to her was a bit non-traditional and last-minute, but I would do it again 100x.

I’ve always been someone who is into holistic health and trying to heal my body through natural means versus medication so when it came to my first pregnancy, I was interested (but honestly a little terrified) at the thought of delivering naturally and having a labor that was medication-free. I originally looked into hypnobirthing (despite the name making me feel super hippy dippy) to learn meditations, mindset training and holistic modalities for childbirth but dismissed the idea of hiring a doula because I didn’t quite understand what they did or how it would work within a hospital setting.  I figured having the hypnobirthing methods and my OB would be enough. So my husband and I enrolled in Kaleigh’s private hypnobirthing class with only about 6 weeks left in my pregnancy.  It was definitely closer to the due date than most people do it, so a little like cramming for a test but somehow Kaleigh made it totally manageable, thorough, and fun!  We instantly clicked with her and felt like we had known her for years.  We looked forward to each session with her and she went above and beyond in spending time with us, answering our questions and making sure we felt fully confident in what we were learning. Before we were even finished with all of our hypnobirthing classes, my husband and I decided to hire Kaleigh for doula services as well.  We had fallen in love with her calming energy (which balanced my high-energy nature) and the way she made us feel so relaxed, yet empowered in our ability to welcome our baby girl naturally and medication-free.  We loved our OB also, so this wasn’t a matter of replacing her, but we also weren’t guaranteed to have our OB in the room on the day of delivery, nor did we have the level of familiarity with the hospital that Kaleigh did.  So by having Kaleigh as our doula, we knew we would have that constant to rely on and that our birth preferences would be communicated properly and honored. The day I went into labor, and leading up to that day, Kaleigh’s availability via text was so extremely valuable and comforting.  She was responsive to any questions I had and the day I went into labor, offered phone support periodically as I went from early into active labor.  With her guidance and the methods she had taught us, I was able to stay home for the majority of the labor, up until the final two hours, which is exactly what we had wanted.  I never felt in “pain” in the way of suffering and was able to stay fairly relaxed through the entire process. Once we got to the hospital, Kaleigh arrived shortly after and her confidence and familiarity with everything in the delivery room (including the staff!) really helped me to feel calm and at ease.  After a quick 19 minutes of breathing and “pushing”, our baby girl arrived safely and peacefully into the world, exactly as we had envisioned.  And to top it off — Kaleigh captured some incredible pictures of the labor and delivery (with my permission, of course) that we will cherish forever!

But equally as valuable as the labor support has been the postpartum support that Kaleigh provides.  Babies don’t come with operating manuals but if you have Kaleigh as your doula, it’s pretty darn close! ;). She has helped us navigate not only the newborn stage and some of the questions that come with it (aka “is my child’s grunting and flailing during sleep normal?”) but also breastfeeding questions and challenges as well.  Without her help and troubleshooting advice, I’m sure there would’ve been a lot of tears and frustration, which I had always heard came with the breastfeeding territory.  Luckily, with Kaleigh’s support, we were able to keep those moments to a minimum and get right back on track.

Ultimately, my husband and I have had such a happy and confident journey into first-time parenting and we attribute a large part of that to Kaleigh and her support.  She’s like having a fairy godmother who specializes in babies and all of the unique adventures (and challenges) that comes with them!  We’re so incredibly grateful for her and that we chose to have her as our doula.  Already penciling ourselves onto her roster for baby #2!

“I would recommend Kaleigh and HypnoBirthing to anyone who is pregnant and wants to feel empowered while bringing life into the world. “

I cannot say enough about Kaleigh Daigle and how instrumental she was in the birth of my daughter. As a first time mother, I was extremely anxious and sought doula support. I also decided to enroll in a HypnoBirthing course for childbirth education. Kaleigh gave me so many tools and I was able to take charge of my own birth story. She made me feel both supported and confident to go into labor.

Throughout my labor, despite its challenges, I used the strategies and tools from HypnoBirthing and was left feeling empowered after the birth of my daughter. I know my birth story would have been vastly different without Kaleigh's support, both during pregnancy and during labor. My husband and I feel so grateful that we found her and found HypnoBirthing.

I would recommend Kaleigh and HypnoBirthing to anyone who is pregnant and wants to feel empowered while bringing life into the world. Whenever the time comes, we will surely take a refresher course for HypnoBirthing, and use Kaleigh as our labor doula.

“… I kept thinking about how supported and empowered I felt during labor, and how I wished every parent could feel that way after giving birth, and Kaleigh was a HUGE part of that!”

It's difficult to express just how important Kaleigh was in the birth of my daughter. My husband and I took a HypnoBirthing class with Kaleigh, and her calm energy helped us feel as ready as possible for labor. Kaleigh and Darla were also our doula team, and they both provided wonderful support during the weeks leading up to my daughter's birth and throughout my labor. When my baby was transverse and I need to a have an ECV to move her into the head down position, they talked to us about the procedure and helped me feel less afraid. They were available to answer questions by phone or text in the weeks leading up to the birth, and their frequent check-ins were very reassuring! Kaleigh was with us during labor and delivery at the hospital, and helped us process every intervention that needed to happen so that we felt informed and safe. Through 53 hours of back labor, I was able to use the meditations and comfort measures she taught through HypnoBirthing and as our doula to have a medication-free birth, which I was hoping for. She also did a wonderful job of allowing my husband to be my main support throughout labor. My midwife said several times, during my recovery at the hospital and during my follow-up appointments, how impressed she was with Kaleigh's professionalism and support of the hospital staff. Throughout my stay at the hospital in the days following the birth, I kept thinking about how supported and empowered I felt during labor, and how I wished every parent could feel that way after giving birth, and Kaleigh was a HUGE part of that!

“Consider it the best investment you can make into having a positive experience on one of the most important days in your life. You’ll be so glad you did!”

I believe everything happens for a reason and people come into your life exactly when they are meant to. We had a very traumatic birth experience with our first son that resulted in an emergency C-section and lengthy NICU stay. I was so hopeful to be able to have a different experience this time. I’m grateful we found Kaleigh when we did! The instructor who taught our childbirth class through the hospital recommended Kaleigh for her doula services and hypnobirthing classes. It’s a good thing I reached out to her when we did. We hired her on a Thursday, had our first hypnobirthing class that weekend, and our second class Monday, then my water broke at midnight Monday night almost 6 weeks before my due date.

I knew from the minute I met her that both my husband and I would benefit from her calming energy in the delivery room. I called her when my water broke and she remained in close contact with me until I felt like I needed her to be at the hospital with us. Her familiarity with the procedures at our hospital, as well as the staff, made me feel even more comfortable. With her help and guidance I was able to confidently decline unnecessary interventions that would have made it much more difficult to have the natural childbirth experience that I wanted. Everything lined up perfectly for me to have the experience I had hoped for and my son was born just eleven hours after my water broke. I am beyond grateful that Kaleigh was there to support both my husband and me. I will cherish the pictures she took of the very emotional moments right after my son was born. She regularly checked in with me during my son’s NICU stay and came to visit me for our postpartum visit once he came home. She’s been a tremendous resource and emotional support throughout the whole process. I highly recommend hiring Kaleigh for her doula services and hypnobirthing classes. Consider it the best investment you can make into having a positive experience on one of the most important days in your life. You’ll be so glad you did!
